Yesterday I went to a birthday dinner at my favorite restaurant in Oslo, Dinner. It was a lot of fun and really good food. Easter break is coming up and it is quite in the city, which is wonderful for a change. I look forward to relaxing, going to the movies and meeting up with friends. I dette nr av Kamille (3) får du en sniktitt inn i garderoben min. Egentlig skulle jeg fått bladet i posten idag, men det gjorde jeg ikke, så jeg begynner med dette bildet og legger til flere imorgen. Som dere kan se er jeg veldig glad i vintage og secondhand, og du finner meg ofte på oppdagelsestur i Oslos vintage-og secondhandbutikker. I tillegg elsker jeg ebay og leter etter vintage vesker, sko, belter, smykker og klær til best mulig pris. Det beste ved å shoppe vintage er at du får noe unikt, det er ofte bedre kvalitet og det er nesten alltid knyttet en historie til plagget. Sist jeg var i San Francisco, fikk jeg med meg både paljett topper, kjoler, sko og solbriller-alt unikt og fantastiske minner fra shoppingen i Haight-Asbury. I tillegg kjøpte jeg ferskvannsperler i Chinatown, hos noen fantastiske kinesiske damer. Det ble et minne for livet. Jeg må innrømme at jeg elsker alt som glittrer fra vesker til paljettkjoler. Jeg er også veldig glad i 70-tallet og har mange kjoler a la Bianca Jagger og Studio 54. Men denne sesongen falt jeg helt for Balmains rocka tolkning av 80-tallet, så mye bedre enn originalen (ja, jeg hadde både ballgensere og buffalosko). Nyinnkjøpt i skapet etter dette intervjuet henger nemlig både steinvaskede jeans, paljettjakker og miltærjakker. Som dere skjønner liker jeg å blande forskjellige stiler, men det er jo det mote handler om, eksperimentering. For meg, er ofte høydepunktet i dagen å legge litt ekstra i antrekket, score en fantastisk deal på ebay eller finne en Diorveske på loppemarked. Som jeg alltid sier: Noen elsker fluefiske, for meg er det mote som er lidenskapen.

I was supposed to get the magazine Kamille with my interview in the mail today, but I guess it was delayed. Well, I am still posting the picture they sent me, but will be adding more tomorrow. As you can see, I am all about the sequins, 70s dresses, fake fur and vintage handbags. I love to experiment and always find unexpected combinations in my own closet. When I am working on an ediorial, I always dive into my own closet for inspiration. I own maybe 300 pairs of shoes (thank god for a big cellar) and would be the official shoe lady (like Carrie) with no place to live, except I am far much more practical and always have a backup plan. I love to shop, but I am most happy when I score bargains (arent we all?), especially when I am travelling. Vintageshopping in Oslo can be expensive, but I always find something that I have to take home. Then there is always ebay, an amazing invention that I use frequently. Hope you enjoyed the sneak peak, I will try to add more pictures tomorrow. In this picture I am wearing my husbands white Polo Shirt, Forever 21 tights, Zara belt and Jessica Simpson shoes.

White Snow

As soon as there is sun, I am out to enjoy it. Its important to be warm, so a wool scarf and a beanie is required.

Minusgradene kryper bare nedover, men det er ingen grunn til å ikke se bra ut. Ull, kashmir og pashminas er mine beste valg i vinterkulden. It is getting really cold, but thats no excuse for not dressing fashionably. When its this cold, I usually wear wool, cashmere and pashminas to keep warm. I love my new scarf from Pashmina International. This one is wool, but they have a huge selection, scarves in every color and free shipping around the world. Worth taking a look at! Of course, if you have a LV pashmina, this will not be sufficient. But this is a great budget option, and I am all about getting the best deals.

Under julegaverunden idag, klarte jeg ikke motså et lignende skjerf fra Zara som bare måtte bli med meg hjem. Men jeg synes egentlig jeg fortjente en liten gave til meg selv etter innsatsen. During my shopping spree for Christmas presents today, I could not resist a similar scarf, so it had to come home with me. After debating with myself, I gathered that I deserved a little treat after all that shopping for my family & friends. Do you shop for yourself when Christmas shopping?

Jeg har lett etter den perfekte skinnjakken lenge. Enten har de jeg har funnet vært for dyre eller for stive i skinnet. Jeg vet at jeg er en detaljfrik, men så ender jeg også opp med de beste godbitene. Denne jakken fikk jeg tak i på Voice til en bra pris. Jakken skal jeg bruke over ullkjoler og cardigans i vinter, og over søte sommerkjoler til våren. Husk at en bra skinnjakke er verdt en investering. Den går aldri av moten og er perfekt til basisgarderoben.


I have been looking for that perfect leather jacket for a long time. When I was in LA, I tried on tons of expensive jackets, like Theory, DKNY and Dolce & Gabbana. The thing about leather jackets, is that for me, they need to have that soft buttery leather. If not, well I dont bother. I have also been looking at ebay for vintage ones, but could not find any I really loved. And you know my theory: Dont buy it, if you dont love it! Anyway, this jacket I found at a chain store called Voice, were I usually never shop. I guess it was fate, because it really is perfect for me.

Julegaveshopping kan være et ork, så jeg tenkte å sette sammen et par collager for å gi dere noen shoppingideer. Først ut er fashionistaen, jenta som tenker, lever og ånder for mote. Hun ønsker seg også en del dyre ting, men for å være helt ærlig så hadde jeg blitt veldig glad for kjedet fra TopShop, neglelakken fra Chanel eller fjærpynten fra Fredflare. Kule gaver som ikke koster all verden. Pakk det inn i en lekker gaveeske og voila, enda en gave mindre å tenke på.

As we are closing in on Christmas, I thought I would give you some shopping ideas. These are some of the things that I would want for Christmas, and that I know a lot of fashion forward ladies are wishing for as well. Mind you, I dont think its at all necessary to spend a lot of money on gifts. Just be sure to wrap the gifts nicely with a lovely card. I know I would get just as excited for this TopShop necklace as for the Chanel nailpolish.

For to dager siden fant jeg denne fantastiske fakepelsen på ebay. Jeg la inn et bud og håpet på det beste siden budrunden gikk ut mitt på natten. Spenningen var stor morgenen etter, da jeg sjekket om jeg hadde vunnet. Og den ble min, til en latterlig billig pris! Nå venter jeg bare på at herligheten skal komme i posten. Synes den ligner litt på en av jakkene til Kate Moss, faktisk. På ebay kan du finne absolutt alt og du kan være sikker på at ingen (iallefall nesten ingen) får det samme som deg. Husk å måle deg selv, så er det størst sjanse for at tingene du bestiller passer deg. Vintage størrelser er ikke det samme som nådagens, så det gjelder å være nøye. Imorgen kårer jeg vinneren av Koola Anna konkurransen!

Two days ago, I found this amazing faux fur leopardjacket on ebay. I have been wanting one for a long time, and this reminded me of something I have seen on Kate Moss. I got the jacket for a very good price, so now I am just waiting for it to reach me. This is of course why I love ebay so much. You can find affordable fashion and unique vintage items. In Norway we dont have that many flea markets, so ebay is a great way to score some deals. However, I should be satisfied after my shopping spree in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Well, a girl can never have to many winter jackets and this just had my name on it. Tomorrow I am announcing the winner of the Koola Anna contest, so be sure to check in!

Som de fleste av dere har skjønt, er jeg veldig glad i å shoppe på nett. Jeg elsker å finne kule nye sider som shipper til Norge, har et bra utvalg og som har salg (!!). Nå kan du få opptil 45 prosent på et godt utvalg av designermerker på ChickDowntown, ved å bruke koden CYBER. I dont think its any secret that I love to shop online. After this weekend madnessshopping in the US, some sites are still offering some great deals. Det er min personlige mening, at det aldri er en dårlig tid for å kjøpe noe du elsker. Hvis du gjør det, vil du ha det i garderoben for alltid. Chanelvesken er en av mine favoritter, ikke bare er den en klassiker, den passer til alt jeg har. Før i tiden kjøpte jeg nye ting hele tiden, nå tenker jeg mer over hva jeg bruker pengene på. Når jeg kjøper nye ting, investerer jeg. Det gjelder uansett om det er billig eller dyrt. Noen ting varer kun en sesong, og der er det greit å spare inn ved å kjøpe i billigforetningene. Vintage YSL, Dior, Chanel, DvF, Halston og Missoni er noen av mine favoritter. Når det er sagt, har noen av mine beste kjolekjøp vært til rundt hundrelappen. Det trenger ikke være dyrt for at det skal vare.

I never think its a bad time to invest in something you love. The thing is, if you really love it, you will wear it forever. Timeless, classic pieces are the best, as they stand the test of time. My Chanel is the most classic piece in my wardrobe, and I love it for the way its gives instant style to any outfit. After spending most of my early years buying cheap things that I discarded season after season, I now look for the timeless classics that can last a lifetime. In my opinion that is vintage YSL, Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Diane von Furstenberg, Hermes, Halston and Missoni. Mulberry, Prada, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, D & G, Stella McCartney, Christian Louboutins, Brian Atwood and a few more are some of my contemporary favorites. That said, some of my most treasured vintage dresses where a steal at 20 dollars. Remember, its not about the clothes, its the person who wears them that give the outfit life and personality. You can never buy taste, its something you have or will strive to learn.

I know this post will raise some discussion. However, I love this casual look. If you look three posts down, you see I often wear my jeans like this. It does cut you off, so high heels are preferable. I love Miss Bilsons and SJP, they got the perfect combo of casual and stylish looks going on. What do you think, love it or hate it?

Dro en liten tur på shopping idag. Først var vi innom UFF underground og prøvde noen secondhandkjoler. Etter det dro vi med min venninne som skal gifte seg, for å se på brudekjoler. Dette brakte minner til ifjor sommer, da jeg selv giftet meg på Hvalstrand Bad. Det var en perfekt dag får å si det slik. Innlegg om det senere i august. Min venninne fant en nydelig kjole, som er perfekt til deres strandbryllup i Miami neste år. Etter det måtte vi ha kaffe og dermed bar turen rundt i butikkene. Fant endel kult, som det blir bilder av etterhvert. Ha en fortsatt flott lørdag!

Perfect shopping day. First, me and my friends were goofing around in a secondhand store, were they managed to pick up some very cute dresses. However, the dress I wanted was torn and they did not want to give me any discount, so I decided to pass it up(a purple dress, perfect for fall). Then we went with my friend to see her try on some wedding dresses. Of course it brought back memories to last year, when I got married here. Our first anniversary is coming up, so of course I will do a post about it.

My friend found a lovely dress, perfect for a beach wedding. Shes getting hitched on the beach in Miami next summer. After that, we had our coffee hit before shopping Zara, H&M, Mango and others. Picked up the nailpolish, some tshirts and tops and jackets. Pictures to come. Great day!

Go Dark for Fall

Mørk neglelakk er hot i høst. Det er også en enkel fashion fix, alt ser kulere ut da. Mørk lilla, sjokolade og burgunder er noen av mine favoritter. OPI sin franske kolleksjon og Estee Lauder sin Berry kolleksjon er blant favorittene. Husk underlakk så du ikke får gule negler og korte negler, ellers kan du fort se ut som en vampyr. With that I mean your nails of course. I love OPIs new French Collection (I heart Paris!) and Indian collection. Such rich and delicious colors. Estee Lauders new Berry and chocolate collection is to die for. I am going shopping for these colors this weekend. The colors will match my Gucci bag! Remember, short nails for this trend. Hello ladies, thank you for all those beautiful comments you left me, that was a confidence booster! It was such a grey day today, but I had so much fun. I got to talk about what I love and what could be better than that? On TheVoice I got to talk lots about my blog and fall fashion. While on OsloTV I gave advice on what to get for fall without breaking your bank account. Key pieces like animal prints, blazers, purple, 70s widelegged jeans and scarves(!)are easy ways to make the best of an already excisting wardrobe. On My Fall It List

All girls need at least another pair of shoes.
These almost look equivalent to Dorothys slippers,
if you ask me. Eye candy at it most fab in the art
of Christian Louboutin at netaporter.

These are another pair that I am lusting after.

These slouch synthetic suede boots from Stella McCartney,

would be perfect with any of my vintage dresses.

Begge disse støvlettene appelerer til meg denne høsten. Stella McCartneys syntetiske semskede skinnboots passer til det meste i garderoben min og er et sikkert valg. Men de rosa Christian Louboutin ankelstøvlettene appelerer til min indre diva og vil helt klart gjøre meg glad hver gang jeg tar de på! Hvilke par er din favoritt?

Both of these boots post some serious eye candy with me. The Chiristian Louboutins are are perfect way to inject color into fall, while the Stella McCartney boots will be perfect with every dress I own (not to mention all the paysley skirts and dresses I plan on buying). They remind me of something Penny Lane would wear in Almost Famous. Which pair do you prefer and why? Whats your most coveted item for fall?

Rachel Zoe Style

I know that this post will probably give
room for a discussion, because I have
observed that every time Rachel Zoes name
pops up, everybody has an opinion about
her, positive or negative. But mostly, negative.

I must say that I have always liked her
style and the way she dresses her celebs,
even though I think she looks like a
starving cartoon figure in need of some
serious hamburgers.

I think she knows her style very well,
and the 70s vibe she often portrays
with a long flowing gown or a jumpsuit
is always spot on.

I love this outfit. The 70s style with
the widelegged jeans, the kaftan, the
platforms and the denim Chanel is
perfect for a day of shopping.

Zoe probably has one of the best vintage
dress collections in the world. I would
love to have a look inside her closet!

Alle elsker å hate Rachel Zoe. Hun er stylisten som angivelig fikk Nicole Richie og Mischa Barton til å sulte seg halvt ihjel. Men for meg, er hun en inspirasjonskilde, spesielt når det gjelder hennes fantastiske samling av vintagekjoler. Man kan si hva man vil, men jeg synes nå hun har stil og vet hva som fungerer. For eksempel synes jeg hun har gjort underverker for stilen til Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner og Cameron Diaz på den røde løperen.


Everybody loves to hate this girl. And I do understand that. She has made some weird choices(for herself and the celebs she morphed into superstardom), however there is no denying that the girl does got a great taste in clothes. Do you know anyone else with that selection of vintage dresses? I love to look at pictures of her and be inspired. Yes, I do think she is inspirational because she mixes things up in a playful and fun way. And after all, isnt fashion about having fun? I know a great dress always puts me in a fabolous mood!

Anna Sui: Another Fall Favorite

A hippie dream of a collection, made in
the realms of inspiration from the late
sixties, early 70s and a true delight
for all senses.

Purple is huge for fall and an instant
style fix, is a scarf or a pair of tights in
this color. Vamp it up with different shades
of purple in your whole outfit, like seen here.

The blues are electric and jeweled and
another great color to wear this season.

Velvet is back and looking better than
ever. I myself have a couple of jackets
in the basement from the last time this
trend was around. Mu choices regarding
this trend is: Velvet blazers, a handbag
or boots.

I enjoy the mixing of patterns. Its a fun
and laidback style.

Fringes will be even bigger this fall than
it was this summer, so get yourself a
handbag, boots or a belt in this style.

Anna Sui var en av mine andre favoritter denne sesongen. Kolleksjonen er en blanding av hennes inspirasjon av sent 60tall, tidlig 70 talls, indianerstil og luksushippie. Fløyel, gull, frynser, lilla, blått og brunt er bare noen av elementene vi kan se i i kolleksjonen, som er et fryd for øyet.
Jeg ønsker meg selv en av kjolene, som man enkelt kan dresse opp og ned i høst. I tillegg tenker jeg å lage et kult belte i samme type mønster, bare jeg får tak i et fint stoff. Er du på budsjett anbefaler jeg at du kjøper en frynseveske, et belte(eller lager et!)eller kjole som ligner, feks fra H&M.

Anna Sui was another of my fall favorites of the catwalk this season. I love the textures of velvet, gold, leather and fringes. The electric blue and purple is a delight, and I cant wait to get my hands on a dress, they were all soo beautiful. I like the fact that shes not afraid of using different tones of the same color, it gives the collection a playful vibe. The details and patterns is reminissence of a late 60s-70s style, which of course appeals to me:-
According to Sui, the collection was inspired of a collection of Tiffanys glasses she looked at before she startet designing. As an avid glasscollector myself, I understand were she found that wonderful inspiration.

from the High street.

How the Celebs wear it

Miss Bilson is the queen of scarves. She always
work this accessory very well, from huge drapings
around the neck to lovely loose hanging silk scarves.

Skjerf er en av de beste og billigste måtene du kan oppdatere et antrekk på. Det er en av favorittene mine på de dagene du ikke orker å tenke så mye på hva du har på deg. Selv elsker vintage silkeskjerf fra Oscar de la Renta og Hermes, men også bomullsskjerf fra billigkjedene. Kule utgaver får du hos H&M, Asos og Vero Moda. Spennende farger som dominerer høstmoten er sennepsgul, lilla og grønt.


I love a great scarf, it can make a outfit look like a million dollars. Its such an easy way to accessories an outfit, weather it is a dress or a casual jeans look. For fall, I am into colors like purple, black & white, green and mustard yellow. The high street has a great selection, and I just picked up the scarf Diane Kruger is wearing. Supposedly it sold out in a few days, after she was spotted wearing it, however they still have many other great ones as well as Forever21, Topshop and Asos.
