How to be a successful ebayshopper

Etter forespørsel fra leserne lager jeg en liten ebay shopping guide. Når det gjelder å være en fornuftig ebayshopper, handler det mest om sunn fornuft.

1. Gå til ebay og registrer deg som ny bruker. Lag deg en brukerrid og passord, så har du en konto.

2. Så spør de deg om du vil lage en paypalkonto. DET vil du. Paypal er sikkert, du viser aldri betalingsinfo til kjøperen og det er gratis for kjøpere. Her trenger du en emailkonto og du lager et passord. Deretter legger du inn mastercardinfo og adresse. Etter det får du en email som du må bekrefte. Når det er gjort, er du klar for shopping.

3. Når du skal shoppe. Sjekk ALLTID selgerens feedback. Er det en powerseller? Jeg kjøper ikke fra noen med under 95 prosent bra feedback. Shipper de til Norge? Hvis ikke kan du alltids contact seller på høyresiden og spørre. Skulle uhellet være ute og du ikke får varen din, erstatter paypal deg(opp til et visst beløp), bare gå inn på siden deres for info. Du vil ikke kjøpe fra noen uten paypal, det er ikke sikkert.

4. Frakt og toll. Ofte overpriser ebayselgerne frakten fordi de bare gjør et overslag, det er lov å si ifra hvis du synes det er urimelig. Alt over 200 kroner legges på moms og frakt i Norge. Men ofte slipper pakker med litt verdi over dette igjennom fordi posten ikke har kapasitet til å sjekke alle pakker. Shipping rules for Norway.

5. Hvordan du gjør kupp: Hva søker du etter? På vintagekjoler får du feks opp 30.000 treff. Da lønner det seg å avgrense søket, med feks 50s vintage dress, hvis det er det du leter etter. Legg ikke inn budet før rett før auksjonen går ut, det er i det siste sekundene budrundene skjer. Går auksjonen ut på natten kan du bruke bid assistant, som byr opp til det maks budet du bestemmer. PS: du legger alltid inn et maksbud når du byr, men det kan hende du får varen for utgangsbudet og da blir det et bra kjøp!

Have gotten some questions from esteemed readers on how you order, manage an account and paypal. You ladies also seem to want to know how I find all these gems, so here is a little guide.
1. Go to ebay and create an account. 2.Then they ask you if you want a paypal account. You want that. Its safe, you never show any information to the seller and its free of charge to sign up. You type in your emailadress and password, then put in your mastercardinfo and shippingadress. Any buys you have will be credited to your mastercard. Voila, you are ready to shop!
3.Check sellers feedback, I dont order from sellers with less positive feedback than 95%. Most sellers will work with you to seal the deal. However, I find you also have a responsibilty as a buyer. Follow instructions and pay on time.

4.What are you looking for? Vintage dress gives 30.000 hits, so 50s vintage dress might give less. Its in those last moments of the bidding that everything happens. So, type in your max bid in the 3 last minutes or bid with bid assistant to increase your winning chances. Often you get the product for the original price, and thats how a great deal is done!

In the case of bad sellers: Paypal will refund you(up to a certain amount)if you have a paypal account, just contact them through their site.

Sommerfestivalene er igang og for min del starter det hele med Foo Fighters på Norwegian Wood 12 Juni. Når man skal på festival, blir antrekket kjapt en kompromiss mellom praktisk og kult. Hvis værgudene ikke er på din side, er det best med shorts(eventuelt playsuit) og gummistøvler for en laidback look. Mine favoritter er disse rosa gummistøvlene fra Hunter, de er passe høye hvis det skulle bli gjørmebad. Denne looken krever ikke et stort budsjett. Klipp av noen gamle jeans, ha fletter i håret og ta på dine kuleste solbriller, så blir du dronningen av festivalen. Få inspirasjon fra kjendisene og collaget ovenfor, til å sette sammen ditt eget festivalantrekk.
Mine beste festivalråd: Velg klær som tåler litt hard medfart. Husk solkrem, våtservietter, godt humør og kamera.

Very soon its time for those long nights and great music. I am of course talking about Festival season. And its best to look the part in style. In my experience rain usually comes and goes, so its best to make some good fashion choices. You can be stylish in cut off denims, a tunic, or a summer dress without breaking the bank. Love these pink Hunter Wellingtons, just my style and perfect for festivals as you can never really trust the weather. Cut off an old pair of denim, braid your hair and add some killer shades, for that laidback festival look.

I går kveld feiret vi vårt ti års jubileum på Madserud Gård. Det var en fantastisk sommerkveld, med god mat og drikke. Hvis du ikke har vært på MG og spist, anbefales det på det sterkeste. De har utrolig god mat, desserten var helt nydelig.
Ti år har flydd avgårde med studentliv i LA, reiser over hele verden og mange fantastiske minner. Bryllupet ifjor var den beste dagen i livet mitt, så langt. Fremdeles får jeg sommerfugler i magen av å se på mannen min. Og det beste av alt er at jeg vet han føler det samme...

Last Night, we celebrated our tenth anniversary as a couple. I really cant believe its been ten years already. It actually feels like we met yesterday. When I look back, I cant believe how lucky I have been. Our relationship have travelled the world. First in LA as students, then Spain, Portugal and other European countries as tourists, and then Italy last year as honeymooners. Our journey began that night ten years ago, and I have not looked back since. I love the fact that I can still look at my husband across the room and still have those butterflies in my stomach. The best thing is that I know he feels the same way. And thats why I think Love is such a BIG thing.

Denne kjolen fra LeMarch Vintage store vil aldri gå av moten. Budrunden er på 15.99 når jeg skriver dette og auksjonen ender om 4 dager. Lykke til!

This weeks ebay find is a hommage to the late Yves Saint Laurent. This dress from LeMarch Vintage store is a great vintage find. The bidding starts is at 15.99 as I write this and the auction ends in 4 days. Good luck!

Jeg må si at premieren på SATC var meget bra. Mine synspunkter om filmen kan du lese i posten under. Masse kjendiser hadde tatt veien til premieren, se feks side2 for bilder. Glamour, champagne og iskrem var hovedingrediensene før filmen og var med på å skape den riktige stemningen. I goodybagen lå det en kjole, en thsirt og to kremer. Billetten må selvfølgelig spares. Jeg traff mange flotte jenter innen bransjen på festen og må nevne Tonje fra oslonights. Tonje tar flotte bilder av Oslospartyscene og holder oss oppdatert på festene som foregår rundt om i byen. Dessverre fungerte kameraet mitt svært dårlig inne på festen, så det ble lite bilder. Har du planer om å se filmen, så sier jeg bare: Gled deg!

This is what I got at the premiere last night. Some cool stuff, the dress is perfect for lounging around the house. At the afterparty they served sushi and icecream, which was a nice treat. I met up with some very nice people in the industry, and want to mention the fab photographer Tonje of oslonights, who does a great job at documenting the party scene in Oslo. Unfortunately, my camera did not really work that well inside, but I hope Tonje posts her soon, so you can get a look.

This was my SATC outfit for tonights premiere and afterparty. I had my picture taken at the premiere, so I will post photos from that later. I had such a great time. Please stop reading if you have not seen the movie.

There are different kinds of loves in life. The love of a husband, boyfriend or lover, the love of your child, the love you feel for your family, the love of all things beautiful and the love you feel towards your girlfriends. This love might share the top spot with the love of a husband or lover.

The movie is a love story between the girls, the husbands and lovers, and the city of New York.

As the movie starts, we se glimps of the time that has passed and what goes on in the girls lives up to present time. On the surface everything seems great, but as the movie progresses we see the cracks in the mirror, that I will call spoils in everyday life. Everyday life often happens when you take each other for granted, that being girlfriends, lovers or a husband. And it is what happens if you allow yourself to let go, stop working on the relationship, or decide to get married because its practical. Lets face it, thats not what marriage is about. Marriage should not be ligthly entered and its a joint decision of two people who loves, respect and care deeply for each other.

As Carrie and Big approaces their wedding day, it becomes clear Big has doubts. But he waits until the worst moment to express his feelings, and then it all comes crashing down. I immidiately put myself in both Carries and Big shoes, because I am a newlywed and spent the last summer planning and negotiating our wedding. I say negotiating because if you want a big wedding and the other does not, it is important to let your voice be heard. Its two, not one who are getting married. And up to this point, its all about Carrie. The dress, the Vogue shot, the guestlist. She lets "the wedding become bigger than Big."

As life goes on for Carrie, I find her character to change and be more independent. Although it takes a lot for her to face the music, she does and in return experiences some great lessons in life. After some more drama, it all ends well for the four girls we love. And as for the marriage part, let me just say it only gets better in time, if you have the BIG love in your life.

I cried. I laughed, and cried some more during the movie. Mostly because the situations they experience is what we all experience in life. Happiness, disapointment, love and having your heart broken. Its all about life as we know it, just a bit more stylish, creative and beautiful than life itself. Its the movies after all.

Off course I loved the movie. It was fashion at its best, great actors and a good story. My favorite scenes(thanks Sharon) was the toss and keep in the old apartment, the heartbraking phone call on the stairs in the Vivienne Westwood dress, the way Charlotte killed Big with the eyes on the street(soo funny) Steve and Miranda on the bridge, Carrie going all over town to support Miranda on New Years eve, Jennifer Hudson as the assistant and the LV moment-so funny, and the reunion in the closet, which did make for a Cinderella moment. At least for me.

I do understand the critics voices, but I do feel that you have to be a fan to see the movie to really appriciate it.Thats my opinion, what are your thoughts?

She is posing as Carrie and I love this look for so many reasons. Lets start: The hat from Zara, such an incredible statement piece and something I imagine Carrie would wear to a Derby, a wedding, or a fab day in New York. The yellow shoes brings a joyfull playfullness to it and makes the outfit "pop". There are many trends here withouth being over the top: Florals, skaterskirt, colour and maxiclutch. "What I love about Carries style is that it is playful, but always has a thouch of elegance" says Amie to siljesfashion. And I could not agree more. Congratulations!

-Its my Birthday! The 17 of June is the day of festivities and fun. I am a girly girl at heart and still love presents (small and big)! I try to suppress the fact that I am getting older, but at least I become wiser as the years pass by(thats what I think anyway).
-Sex and the City premiere!
-Our 10 year anniversary! It was actually in May, but we had so much going on, that we decided to hold of until June and really enjoy our day together. We have been together 10 years, and almost married one (August).
-Icecream and strawberries.
-The chance to wear all my summer dresses, mini and maxis.
-Sunbathing and wearing flip flops.
-Festivals and summer parties.
-Paris! Saving the best for last. Cant wait to go vintage shopping in Paris. Do let me know if you have any advice as to were-which shops are worth stopping by.

Are you a One Piece or a Two Piece girl?

Sommeren har offisielt startet og det er på tide å hente frem (den fryktede) bikinen fra ifjor eller shoppe for en ny. Jeg er en typisk bikinijente men elsker 50talls retro looken, som endel av badedrakten har i år. Personlig synes jeg badedrakten passer perfekt for en ferie i Cannes, som oser gammeldags Hollywood glamour og eleganse. Badedrakten er ypperlig til å gå fra bassenget til lunchen. Bare ta på deg et skjørt og noen armbånd så er du pyntet. Men la oss ikke glemme hvorfor jeg elsker bikinien. Den gjør det enklere å bli jevnere brun og er lettere å variere. I sommeren vil jeg kombinere alle bikinien mine om hverandre, for en avslappet og kul look på stranden. Elsker du bikini eller badedrakt? Summer is here, and its time to either dive into your closet and find the bikini from last year, or go shopping for a new piece. While I am definitely a two piece girl, I love the retro looks from the 50s that characterizes this years one piece suits. If I was going to a glam place like Cannes, this summer, I would go for a one piece. Why? Its classy, sexy and has an old Hollywood glamour appeal. Throw on some bangles and a skirt and you a ready for classy lunch at the pool. But lets not forget why I love the two piece. Its easier to tan evenly, its more versatile, and I can mix the 5 ones I have with each other for a mixmatched look of different colours. Add a tunic, a sunhat and some enamel bracelets for a fun look. Maybe I will just have to give in and buy both a one piece and a two piece this year... What kind of girl are you? Do tell!

Med kun 3 dager igjen til Norgespremieren på Sex and the City, tror jeg det er endel jenter som lurer på hva de skal ha på seg akkurat denne kvelden. Mitt råd er å gå for noe personlig og unikt, som feks en vintagekjole. Eller bygg antrekk et rundt tøffe høye gladiatorsko og korte skjørt. Det er sikkert mange venninner som skal gå og se denne filmen sammen. Bestevenninner bør tas godt vare på, så sørg for å melde deg på konkurransen min om SATC billetter. Loving the black on black idea. The leather belt is a couple of years old, but still so classy. I love black and always try to combine it in different styles. I am of course trying out different looks for the upcoming premiere of SATC. I like this outfit because it channels playful with an attitude. Thanks for all your sweet comments! A Tribute to A Fashion Legend

The designer flanked by his models after the spring 84 collection. These gorgeous coctail dresses was also was a staple in his collections. As a vintage hunter myself, I can safely say that dresses, the safari look and the suits are what I always look for at upscale vintage shops.

This post will be in english, I hope you esteemed readers forgive me for not wanting to express my feelings twice on this sad day for fashion. Yves Saint Laurent, one of the greatest designers of all time, died yeasterday at the age of 71. YSL was known for changing the way women dress, by dressing them up in elegant pantsuits for day and night. Whic was at that time, quite daring. He is also know for the safari jacket, the leopard prints and his gorgeous long coctail dresses. Style, sophistication and a real understanding for the female body, is just some of the words I would use to describe his collections.

YSL started out as Christian Diors "right arm" working for the designer, who recognized his talents and took him under his wings. After Diors unexpected death in 1957, YSL took over as the head designer. A year later his breakthrough came with the "trapeze"line. The look of narrow shoulders and wide swinging skirts, was a hit after Diors New Look area.

He is recognized by many for the rejuvination of the the French fashion, and securing his countrys position as one of the leading in the world of Haute Couture. For me, and other fashion lovers all over the world, he will be remembered for his exceptional taste, his real love for fashion and those glamourus gowns, that for always will remain in style. Rest in peace.

Sommersalget er igang på H&M, Ellos og Laredoute. Kanskje har de salg på noen av mine favoritter, eller dine? Net-a-porter har også salg, men her lønner det seg å se etter ting som ikke går av moten. Hvis du tenker på å investere i en klassiker som veske, kjole, sko eller smykker, er dette salget for deg. Shopbop har bla salg på kule jeans, som Seven for all Mankind.

Maxikjoler, korte sommerkjoler, topper, gladiatorsko og en skjortekjole er hva jeg ser etter på salgene. 70tallstrenden er fortsatt hot for høsten, så ha dette i bakhodet når du shopper.

Summersales are lining up already. H&M , Laredoute and VictoriasSecret already has some of my faves on sale. Net-a-porter and Neiman Marcus also have some great deals on investment pieces. Maxi dresses, mini flower dresses, gladiators, enamel bracelets, tank tops and a safari shirtdress are some of the things I will be looking for on the sales. My advice, get some great deals on summer trends and save big. Lots of the styles for summer can carry over to fall, so keep this in mind when you shop.
